This Privacy Policy describes how CASCADE ICE ARENA ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the mobile application "PDF Scanner - OCR & Edit" (the "App"), together with any related services. By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This policy may be updated from time to time; the latest version always applies.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "PDF Scanner - OCR & Edit" (the "App"), provided by CASCADE ICE ARENA. We act as the data controller for personal information processed through the App. We aim to handle your data lawfully, transparently, and only for the purposes described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate and improve the App. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

a. Information you provide

• Account & profile data — such as name or email, if you create an account or sign in.
• Content you create or upload — files, documents, photos, text, recordings, or notes you choose to process in the App. This is used to deliver the feature you requested and is not sold.
• Support & feedback — messages, ratings, or survey responses you send us.

b. Information collected automatically

• Device information — device model, operating system version, language, region, and unique identifiers such as the Advertising ID.
• Usage data — features used, screens viewed, session duration, and interactions.
• Diagnostics — crash reports, performance data, and error logs.
• Network data — IP address and general connection information.
• Advertising data — data used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.
• Purchase data — your subscription/purchase status, handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store (we do NOT store your card details).

3. Permissions we may request

Some features require device permissions. We request a permission only when a feature needs it, and only after you grant it. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings — related features may then stop working. Not every app uses every permission below; the list covers permissions our apps may use depending on functionality:

• Camera — scan documents, take photos, or capture content within the App.
• Photos / Media — import, edit, or save images and media you select.
• Files / Storage — open, save, or share documents and files on your device.
• Microphone — record audio or use voice features when you choose to.
• Location — provide location-based features such as maps, weather, or nearby results.
• Contacts — let you select people to share with, only when you initiate it.
• Calendar — create or sync events when a feature requires it.
• Notifications — send reminders and important updates you opt into.
• Bluetooth / Nearby devices — connect to nearby devices for features that support it.
• Health / Sensors — read motion or health data for fitness/wellness features, with your consent.

We never access this data in the background for purposes unrelated to the feature you are using.

4. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
• To process your content to deliver the result you requested.
• To manage subscriptions, purchases, and restore entitlements.
• To display and measure advertising (see Section 5).
• To analyze usage, fix bugs, and improve performance and stability.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Our App displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use device identifiers, such as the Advertising ID and IP address, to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and to measure ad performance. Ads may appear in banner, interstitial, rewarded, or native formats.

You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings, or reset your Advertising ID at any time. More information is available in Google's own privacy policy.

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Our App may offer optional one-time purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions (e.g., weekly, monthly, yearly, or lifetime plans) via Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payment is processed by the platform (Google/Apple), not by us — we do not receive or store your full payment details.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel anytime: Google Play → Subscriptions or Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are governed by the Google Play or Apple App Store policies.

7. Analytics & third-party services

We use trusted third-party services to operate and improve the App. These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only on our behalf:

• Google AdMob — advertising.
• Google Play / Apple App Store — billing and subscriptions.
• Firebase / Google Analytics — analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Cloud & storage providers — for processing or backing up content when a feature requires it.

8. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App.
• When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or our company.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with continued protection of your data.

9. Data retention

We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide the App, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or comply with legal obligations. Content you process is retained only as long as needed to deliver the feature, after which it may be deleted automatically. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 12).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age required by your local law (e.g., 13 in the US, 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
